This processing of the event is accomplished when ButtonBase overrides the virtual method OnKeyUp. ButtonBase considers KeyUp equivalent to a mouse left button down for purposes of raising a Click event. I confirm what you said: pressing Return close the MsgBox, but the Listbox also trap that Return and display another MsgBox as nauseam.
